Once upon a time, sometime in the last century after the fall of the Comanches in this country, I moved from my native village to study in Prague. Shortly after, I met Fanouš and later his friend Jarouš. They initiated me into the mysteries of the auctioned Mariáš game, which I found very entertaining and later profitable. Over time, I grew from an inexperienced greenhorn into a fairly capable card player.

Simultaneously, I also learned programming, and the idea of transforming my Mariáš skills into a computerized form often crossed my mind. However, it was not until now, with the advent of smart devices, that I undertook this task.

Computerized opponents are not as good as real ones, but on the other hand, they have excellent memory. If you find a significantly bad play from Fanouš or Jarouš, you can send it to me via email (select Send for Evaluation from the game menu).

You can switch between bidding Mariáš or selected Mariáš in the settings.

At the beginning of each game, the risk level for Jarouš and Fanouš is randomly set from 1 to 3. 1 indicates a cautious player, while 3 denotes a risky player. Risk comes into play during bidding and discarding. The risk limits can be adjusted in the settings. Playing with cautious players may be boring for some; in that case, I recommend setting it to 2-3 or straight to 3-3.

Some rules in brief:
- Only tens and aces can be discarded to the talon in betl and durch.
- A declared seven can only be discarded as the last card.
- The ten is immediately below an ace when there are two sevens.
- A declared seven cannot go to the talon.
- A declared standard seven can be discarded.
- A seven without declarations or with only a declaration for play is not played.
- Hundreds count.
- Declaration is at most up to declaration-and-all-trump boot.

If your game gets stuck, please use the "@" button in settings to send a record of your last game.
